Default Grenade mount

Well I was just out at the Texas Rockabilly Revival Festival, and I picked myself out a nice "KILL ALL HIPPIES" black sticker with UZI and suppressor photo. I'm thinking that might go well on the right side cover.

Then, at a HotRod accessory booth, there was a guy selling all sort of shifter *****. EightBalls, skulls, etc. There were also inert grenades for sale, the bottom gutted out ready to screw onto your shifter. Smooth round ones...pineapple style, etc. etc.

Then I got to thinking how funny it would be when I pull up next to a Prius, the guy looks over, sees the sticker...then sees my "just in case" grenade mounted on the bike. I think it'd kind of blend in, and a lot of foiks wouldn't even notice it. But when they do, they'd be a little surprised. I call my bike an "urban assault bike", so why not look the part?

I was thinking of taking off the passenger footpeg and somehow mounting it there. Also, a straight weld with a thread would be fairly easy too.

What do you guys think? Maybe I'll photoshop one and see what it looks like....

Maybe if I painted the nade pink...lol...

I remember when hippies just had long hair, smoked weed, listened to Pink Floyd, and rode choppers. They were pretty cool. The "new age" hippicrites SUCK however. I had to laugh this morning when I read about that comment CBS comentator David Feherty made about Nancy Pelosi.

The new hippies are called hipsters. Near me, they congregate in Williamsburg brooklyn. Near you you'd find 'em in Austin. more detestible than a hippy any day.

Hey dont get me wrong, I love the whole rat-rod look, and the grenade sounds cool, but your going to come out of the c-store and find your bike surrounded by the bomb squad.

We did trail maintenance back in like February and we had to ride down the highway with machetes hanging off our belts... I think that was scary enough (for others in traffic and of course for us... it'd suck to get run through by your own blade after crashing lol)

I'm with Dan... that's just begging to have the 5-0 harass you.

I personally like to get into the hipsters heads another way. I tell them Prius drivers I get 70 mpg and I don't have to look like Barney Frank to do it.

Yeah...you're probably right. Maybe this is why I need to paint the grenade pink.
