Default GPS suggestion please

Hi guys,

I would like to know what you are using when it comes to GPS brand and model, original or homemade mounting brackets etc... for your bike when it comes to deep-woods explorations. Pictures would be greatly appreciated.

Garmin Etrex H, Ram Mount and Powerlet motorcycle 12 volt hook up. Works like a charm. Small on feature but does the essentials, is IPX7 waterproof and has 18 hour plus battery time. Satellite acquisition is top notch too. Rugged as the KLX.

Default My GPS

Personally I like and use GPS76csx from Garmin. Downloadable, has miniSD card waterproof and IT FLOATS. I like the floating feature when I go kayaking.

Yep the Garmin E-Trex is awesome I have the CX color model. However I am really thinking of getting a new one soon. On my trip to Oregon a couple of weeks ago, my cousin had on his bike the Garmin 60CSx, and I have to tell you that model is light years ahead of mine. It has a better antenna, an electronic compass, and the buttons are all on the front and are way easier to use.

Here is mine..

Yea, what I like about the 60CSx is that all the buttons are on the front, its a lot easier to push on them from the front than to have to squeeze the whole unit to change screens. Huh Huh Huh he said squeeze the unit.

I use the Garmin Nuvi 500.
It was $225 and then the mount from Ram for ~$30.

It is really cool. I liked it becuase it did Road, off Road, and hiking. It even talks to you.... "Left in .1 mile..."

Anyways touring stuff, and topo for the hiking, kayaking, and trail riding stuff. I was sold. I have it shown on the F800GS here.
