Quick question...What kind of gps units do you guys use? Tried the search and it didn't come up with anything? Just wondering what would work the best for our style of riding...road plus dirt!!! There are so many to choose from just wanted some insite.

I use a Garmin Zumo 450 on the bike. I have used my Etrex also as well as my Oregon 300. My recommendation would be to get a GPS that creates tracks so that you can backtrack if you get lost and so you can save routes (tracks) that you would like to do again. Don't waste money on feature that you don't need.

I use an old Magellan Sport Trak. It works and leaves a trail of dots so I can backtrack if needed... that is the entire list of its perks.
I like the map Deej showed. How much forethought and effort is required to create the map you did. I dig that.
I go back to google maps and make one of these:
But there is about 10 minutes of effort here. Screen capture and then I pencil in some details. Then I keep them in with my photos.

+1 on the garmin legend. Garmin seems to have it together really well for customer support as well. I have a legend for hiking and climbing and a mount for it on my handlebars. They are pretty well bullet proof and water tight. The garmin cx models are popular as well but they have an antena sticking out on them that I don't like.
