Sure does. A little taller than stock but with some right hand action that'll soon wear down.

 

FYI. I got my etrex vista hcx from walmart.com, it was the cheapest 180$ That was just before xmas, so im not sure if the prices are better. Check this out..... amazon GPS mothers day sale:

wow, the vista hcx is now 213$ at walmart... it was way cheaper than that 6 months ago.

 

He's in NZ so the base map will be wrong. He needs a GPS with the Pacific and Australasia maps.

 

ah... The vista hcx has a micro SD slot, you can load what ever into it. I downloaded all of north america city navigator thats what i have in mine.

 

I didn't think you could change the base map. I may be wrong. I understand you can add more maps on cars over the top, I get that, but isn't the base map hardwired????

 

Missed out on the etTrex Vista. Sold for $184 kiwi. It was a private sale.
