Got my Stuff!
Hey guys I ordered some stuff from www.shop.thumpertalk.com ..
I got the stuff into my hand yesterday, and bloody hell I had to pay $60 tax for the order which only cost $96 :S ..
I ordered :
Dynojet Jet Kit for KLX300.
Moose Air Filter oil (great stuff)!
Moose Steel Epoxy (in case I have those extra holes in the carb slide.
And a Sunstar 13t Front Sprocket..
I fitted the Sunstar sprocket, cleaned air filter and oiled yesterday.. WOW feels sooo good now!!! Still wheelies very good (actually feels better).
Next week we have holidays the whole week so I'm going to get into business with the carby hehehe..
I'm thinking of putting in a bigger jet depending on the Main Jet that is already in there.. As I want to run with the air box lid off.. And drill the slide vent hole with the drill bit given in the dyno jet kit.. And put in the DJ needle with the clip on the 4th position.. And by any chance if there are the extra holes on the cylinder side of the slide, I want to close them too.. Is my needle position correct? Do I still have to adjust the mixture screw? If so how many turns from closed? Dynojet says 2 1/2..
I have a RSV Slip On Pipe and Open Air Box lid..
I also want to drill the crank case breather restriction in the air box where the hose plugs in, I am thinking of heating up a small metal pipe and pressing it in as drilling that area is basically impossible.. I just have to heat the metal piece and press it in until it goes through right?
Thanks
Jamie

post up a pic of that exhaust, that's a new one on me. glad to see more and more companies getting in on the klx action. i noticed you ordered moose filter oil. since i found out about no-toil brand pre-oiled filters for $12.99US, i haven't oiled another filter. it's a good filter, not a p.o.s. and no mess. i save my old dirty one's that i would clean and re-oil in case of emergency, but for thirteen bucks, forget it. that's time i could be riding. if you're a fan of moose filter oil, they also make pre-oiled filters that are $21US. have fun modding on your week off.

I just finished jetting my bike and testing it about 2 Hours ago.. The process was very easy and I'm proud I did it all ALONE! Pretty good for a 16 yr old huh?
The jetting specs are :
128 Main Jet (stock was 118)
35 Pilot Jet (stock)
DJ needle with clip on 3rd Position.
Mixture screw is 1 3/4 Open..
All I can say is WOW!! The bike wheelied a little on first gear without clutch! Starts half turn.. I took off the air box lid too.. And I drilled the slide vent hole with the drill bit given in the jetting kit.. The mixture screw wasnt covered.. I had to drain all the coolent too Because of the Carb De Ice circuit!
Anyway heres some pics I managed to take..
The virgin carb hehehehe..
US Style Slide (no extra holes)
Slide holes before drilling
After Drilling
DYNOJET!
Thumpertalk (where I ordered my stuff from and another forum I'm on)
The RSV Pipe
The bike
Pretty good day it was and I did it pretty fast too!
THANK YOU GUYS SOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lol.. I had a pack of Milo :P..
I didnt adjust the mixture screw, I think I need to adjust it to the Dynojet specs.. Anyone have any tips to adjust it while the carb is still on there?
Not that there is any problem, but I want to adjust it and see what happens ..
Also could anyone please tell me what exactly changing the needle jet clip position effects? Basically what I'm asking is, what does the needle jet clip do? I know putting it up and down make it leaner and richer but I dont know at what part of the throttle..
