Default Got me a Helmet Cam

I finally got a sunny day to try out my new ContourHD helmet cam. I rode up to a trail complex that very few people know about and it isnt all tore up, in fact I only know of 5 or 6 other riders that ride this HUGE area. Its not open and its not closed. I got to the riding area and and turned on the cam. I kept hearing this double beeping sound while I was riding, I knew it was the camera, but didnt know that it meant it was turning itself on and back off. So I got a bunch of 45 second clips of riding. The camera turned off right as I crashed as to save me the embarssment. LOL. Anyways heres the link to 10 minutes of What I consider true Northwest dualsporting
I contacted the camera company and they have a solution for me. So as the weather gets better I will be able to show off many a good crash and maybe a trail or two=====

nice video. I just tried mine out in the neighborhood (not worth posting) and really am pleased with it. Looks like a great area to ride. Curious if that was in the action or HD setting when you took it? Also, you got the letterboxing (pillarboxing) border that I read about. Mine came out widescreen. I remember reading about what causes that but dont remember what it was. think that is the youtube transfer method. if i can find it ill let you know. look forward to some good crashes...always better when you can watch them over again :P

it was filmed in 720p HD at 30fps=======but I had to convert the video to avi format so I could splice together the numerous clips. The unspliced footage thats 30-45 seconds long per clip is real clear and the colors really stand out. I am very happy with the quality of video. And sadly I have to wait lord knows how long to get to ride again. By that time a new battery will have arrived for the camera and it wont be shutting off and on while riding. Then I will have a seemless video that I dont have to downground quality to splice(and I am a cheap bastard, so I used all free software to convert). On a side note, if you notice the quicktime videos this camera makes are SUPER choppy hard to playback. I found nerovision plays them without any glitches or choppiness. But I only have a couple days left on my free trial, then I'll have to stick to transfering the .MOV files straight to my tivo box and then watching them on the big screen(and thats awesome).

Very cool.. I was gunna say - sounds just like my bike - then I saw we have the same exhaust

That terrain looks just like what I have here in the North East! Pretty cool to see the other side of the country.
