RE: Got the Big Gun
well I know that I need to get an exaust for mine now. Jazz and I went for a ride last night and I could not even here my bike. But I might go with the Muzzy so we can tell our bikes apart a little.

RE: Got the Big Gun
The earlier speculation on Big Gun availability had to do specifically with the Evo X can. The Race series can is a nice piece but too loud for me (I had one on my KLR650). The Evo X is more in line with the Muzzy with quiet core. Does anyone know if that's available?
You can buy a quiet insert for the Big Gun Race series too. It's called the Vortex. However, I had a lot of trouble with mine in that the increased back pressure at sustained high RPMs cruising caused the muffler to self destruct. To make the Vortex work properly, you need to remove a bunch of the fiberglass packing from the Race series but this is not documented in the instructions. Also, on all Big Gun mufflers, red locktite is your friend! I lost one Vortex plus the billet end cap on one trip and numerous bolts before I figured this out.

RE: Got the Big Gun
The Muzzy mid pipe will touch the right side passenger peg slightly in either the open or closed position. However, it will be difficult to open or close as it touches more when in between positions. A slight dent there would likely not hurt performance of the pipe and would solve the problem.
I just pulled the peg off and stuck it and the bolt in the tool pouch for the rare times I take a passenger. Takes two seconds to put it back on.

RE: Got the Big Gun
Todd i will agree the big gun is very loud and not for some that is just looking for something a little louder than stock. But i just listened to the muzzy sound file and it sound really good alot better than stock. So i would have to say the bolt and peg idea in the tool bag is a great idea by the time the passenger is ready to go you could already have the peg mounted. score one more up for todd good thinkin man
