WELL! Now you guys south of the 49th know how us Canucks feel. We get the "blackout" all too often.
One way around that is to just have the ambient sounds as the soundtrack. Motor, choice words after an off, etc etc.
Good one Mucky. It takes a couple of vids to get the aim right. I have a VIO POV. Getting the raw footage is the easy part, editing it down to something worth showing is another matter. I guess that's what winter's for.

I submitted an appeal to the copyright dispute, could one of you fine USA gentlemen please let me know if the youtube video at the beginning of the thread is still blocked in the US or not. Thanks

YUp good job on the vid and yeah , you're lucky to have that terrain so close to you. I would maybe tip the camera up a bit, I kept trying to lift my head and see farther up the road in your vid.

Yeah, the aim was to low, I know. I even raised it up a little for another try when I went for a ride with my son later. It was a bit better, but still could have been higher. I'll get it right sooner or later, I may even end up getting a chest mount cam as Ledgini suggested, that might work best.

Got to check out a GoPro 3. We were giving them away at work if a shop bought X dollars worth of tires.
Thing is much smaller and lighter than I expected. It has wi-fi and I got it to connect to the app on my iphone. But alas, it had no memory card so I couldn't actually use it, yet...
Seems like a cool feature, put the phone in a tank bags clear top or ram mount, turn on the camera and it broadcasts to your phone, so you can aim and see while shooting, no other screen needed.

I did about three test rides around the block, taking it in and viewing the footage each time, before i got mine set right. Once i had it where it looked good on playback, i scratched a line across the "hinge" part of the mount. That way I can always set it right back to where i know its good if it gets bumped or moved somehow.
