Ahhh... comments that reflect my past as well!

I had a GPZ550 back in the day, that was an absolute blast! Not too powerful, but I managed to become an equal with the bike. I could use all it's capabilities, and feel comfortable doing it. I ground pegs, entered and corrected for wobbles in high speed sweepers, truly the most fun I've ever had on a bike.

Then got a Concours... 1000CC, smooth power and heavy! Nowhere near as much fun, but great on the long road.

Now I've just got the KLX250. Back to having fun again in my old age! The heck with excess power!

Do ya still have the Concours to complement the KLX? I know I would.

Nope... put 70K on it, stopped doing long rides and found myself just commuting on it. Sold it a long time ago... it was the original 1986 version.

I forgot to mentioned but i still have all the stock parts left in my garage. Here is a list of what I have. Make me offers, i will take anything for them:
- front brake line
- clutch pedal
- clutch lever
- exhaust + header
- dynojet kit with stock jets and remaining jets (stage 2 jets are not there)
- stock blinkers front and rear
- mirrors left and right
- stock clutch cable and pull cable for carb
- 3in longer return push cable - new
- ... I have to check what else but i am sure there is more

Everything is in great to perfect condition.

Awesome upgrade.
I went the opposite as you as I sold my 2006 MV Agusta Brutale 750 and now have a 2009 D-Tracker which is more like a KLX250S now.
I moved to Bangkok so I had to sell the Brutale when I left LA.
I'm quite happy with the 250cc because all the traffic here goes 30 mph or slower.
I think the original Brutale is my favorite road bike ever but at least my Kawi can go off road.

I bought custom made 3in longer cables to fit with my Renthal bar and 1in raiser.

The Throttle has 2 cables (push and pull cable). I used the extended pull cable but removed the push cable. Therefore I have the 3in longer push cable (brand new) in my garage...
