Default Good clutch for 351?

The stocker doesn't seem to last very long with the power. My original started failing soon after 351 install. Then I got an EBC and that lasted for a while, but eventually started slipping. When I got my new bottom end, I used the stock one that came with that since it had low miles and that one just started failing. Won't lift the front in 3rd anymore, just spins. Won't climb hills in high gears.. Oil is good and cable doesn't need adjustment.

I'm thinking of ordering an EBC dirt racer kit. I've had them before and had good results. But I was thinking some Barnett springs to replace the EBC's.. They say on the Barnett website that the springs are heavy duty so I'm hoping they're a bit stiffer.

Anyone try them? Or anything different?

Ok, I guess this is kinda new territory.. I ordered the EBC dirt racer clutch, and a set of Barnett springs..

I hope the springs are tighter than the EBC!!

We'll see what happens. Cost was about $85 shipped for everything. Crossing my fingers. Slipping clutches suck!

What about just sanding the existing discs and replacing the stock springs with stiffer ones?

Ehh, I ride enough and I ride into some deep woods - I don't want to put any band-aids on my bike.. New clutch discs are cheap enough. You see what happens when you half-*** things Plus, if I'm going through the motions to remove the clutch, I'm not putting the old one back in the bike on an idea and a prayer.

I'm hoping the Barnett clutch springs will be my answer!

I just put a new Barnett clutch in my Sherpa. The springs were so freakin' stiff I went back in and did half new Barnett and half old stock. Still too stiff so I just put the old stockers back in.

The Barnett springs were waaaaaaaaaaaaay too strong for that application. Maybe it'll be just what you need in yours.

How stiff was it with half barnett and half stock? Was it annoyingly stiff and hard to pull the clutch lever?

I was thinking half and half if using all was too stiff.

Well I guess that answers my Q about if they are definitely stiffer than stock

Also - is there a clutch change walkthrough anywhere? I didn't see one - I figured maybe I can snap some pics with a quick write-up to help anyone out in the future? If anyone thinks that would benefit, let me know and I'll do it.
