not to mention yamaha had two stroke sportbikes (rd/rz 350, ysr50), there were also a lot of three cylinder two stroke cruisers.

yup-yup. they included a RD 400 and RD 500. 2 stroke giant killers.

Cool. Are they still street legal in many states??

I would have thought that the EPA would have banned them in most states based on higher emission test standards.

I think most states don't have emission tests for motorcycles. But I may be wrong.
