Going a size bigger with the rear tire

RE: Going a size bigger with the rear tire
I ended up getting the Kenda K270 5.1 x 18. This is a great tire. It's bigger than stock but I notice no lack of power. yesterday I hit 90 MPH on the speedo with more power to spare. BTW, I had no wobble to speak of. The stock gearing on the KLX is perfect IMO. I will definiteely be getting the Kenda front tire when I need a new one.

RE: Going a size bigger with the rear tire
I am running a trackmaster 110 rear. If you plan on putting a rim lock on I would recommend that you install 2 of them in each wheel 180 degrees from each other. This will help to balance out the tire.
I am running 2 in each wheel and feel very little vibration at highway speeds.
As far as tubes go. Since the tire is already off I would invest in a heavy duty tube to go in there. If I remember right Kenda tubes use a different one for the 110/120 size than the 100 size.

Thanks for the info, I've already spun a tire on the rim and wanted to make sure I use the correct tube. If you're still experiencing a little vibration then you might want to give the wheel weights a go.
