Great, thanks a lot. I just called the shop and they charge $80 for a dyno session. A session consists of several pulls with printouts of the best 3 runs. I'll try to negotiate a deal about more sessions when I go there.

Ok, there is some "stuff" you need to know before you go. A dyno run/session is 3 pulls (sometimes more) on the bike.

What you'll want:

1. SAE CF - correction factor
2. Engine Speed charts
3. HP, TRQ, AND AFR charts

You should let them know that YOU know what you're expecting to get for your money - I'm giving you information that "average Joes' don't know"..SO, don't be cocky, just a friendly guy that mysteriously knows that he wants 4th gear, SAE corrected, HP, TRQ, and AFR, "engine speed" charts put directly on your USB thumb drive from the dyno console, and you want pulls to at least 9500 RPM. (Nothing about the above is negotiable.) FYI: engine redline is 10.5k, Pulls should "start" at 4k RPM,

Now for the finer points:

Air up the rear tire to 30 PSI, meticulously oil the chain ! - If you forget this, everything will be "off and wrong"..

Pull the spark arrestor screen on the silencer before going to the shop - they are about to shove a AFR probe all the way up to near the exhaust port.

Take a USB thumb drive - Best to take them a brand new one still in its' package - so they won't be afraid of viruses, ect..

Make sure your bike is at full operating temp before they roll it onto the dyno.

The charts should be arranged as separate and stacked with all three charts sharing the same RPM scale.

Yup. Got it covered. Good call on the spark arrestor. I would have overlooked that
