Talking Getting a new bike!!!!!!

I just rode what I really hope to be my new bike soon the fastest "dirtbike" I have ever ridden I am in love with it, its a 2001 Husaberg fe501 not sure all thats been done but I had this thing to 135mph in no time and it had more left it even smoked my buddies 07 R6 to 100 and would probably stay with it for a while....I can get this thing for a hell of a deal but does anyone on here have any experience with Husabergs??

What is the maintenance schedule like and where do you get parts?
135 mph = organ donor
sounds like fun though

He did not ask maint schedule or organ donor opines.

I have no experience with a husa except I rode one once and it was fast.

Did you say it beat a R6 on acceleration to say 100 .... thats impressive.

Well the guy told me it wasn't anything to keep up with maintenance.. and yes I went from a stop against a friend on his R6 at 100 I was almost a bike ahead of him but had to slow down for a red light i had to lay over the tank pretty far just to keep it from coming up and it still did, I cracked the throttle at 90 in 5th and the front wheel came right up and stopping is great too it has brembo calipers and fairly large rotors and the suspension feels amazing its very nimble at only 230 lbs

your friend must not be able to ride his R6. it has nearly twice the horsepower of any dirt bike and should smoke any of them as well. an 8 year old husaberg- I'd stay away if it were me. a new one? sign me up.

Husaberg's are legendary. When KTM wanted to improve it's 4 stroke dirt bikes a few years ago what did they do? They went and bought Husaberg. The best 4 stroke off road bike producer at the time bar none. This is where your modern KTM thumper has come from in the past 10 years. Fear not in the maintenance stakes, it's still owned by KTM so spares and back up is as good as the big 4. And BTW IG, people in the know, know these bikes last. KTM wanted the best 10 years ago, look what they got and look where it's put them now. Husaberg still one of the top thumpers you can buy, new or old.

Note the KTM style swing arm and PDS shock. On a Husaberg before a KTM.

I can guarantee you my friend can ride his bike better than most he has been riding for 20+ years and raced GP for 6, he was completely blown away by how fast this thing was. Idk what is done to the Berg I dont even know if it has the original engine but Like I said it is the fastest dirtbike i have ever ridden and if you think about it the r6 weighs twice as much as the berg, power to weight is everything. And have you had experience with the brand is that why you would stay away from it? if so please explain.
