Picking up a 2006 KLX250 next week. It has only 400 miles and looks like it came out of the showroom. Unfortunately the person who had it passed away from illness and his mother is selling it. I am getting it for 2500.00 which is at top book price but it really is in showroom condition. I rode it around and it's super!. I am 6'1 and about 180lbs, at 1st I thought it was too small but after riding it it's fine.
Any tips for new owners of a 2006 KLX250??
Thanks!!

In all seriousness, I purchased a 2006 klx250s with over 6k miles on it and got it for $2100. You're getting a good deal in my opinion. I'm sure you already know that the bike is pretty ball-less stock...

Start saving for upgrades... I have done many, if i were to do it over again, i would first do springs ( proper ones for your weight), then rejet it with a full exhaust. Then everything else is just for fun I could go on and on....
