I went rding with BP310 yesterday, we were both full at the start, we went about 30 miles (90% dirt) and stopped a a fuel station and topped off.
I needed 1.003 and he needed .88 gal.

I have the pumper and 14/47 gears, he has the mod'd stock with 15/42 gears.
I got 30 mpg he got 34 mpg.
It made sense to us.

Love the pumper. I dont need the Taffy Mod.

Good to see im not the only one with **** poor mileage. I dont remember exactly where i was when it was warm enough to ride :P but i think i was in the 30-40 MPG range (hitting reserve 50-60 miles). That sounds on par with you guys. I have the 351 with stock carb (rejetted) and the 300 exhaust with spacers under the baffle.

 

Lots of strong opines about mileage, kinda funny actually. If you try to ride the bike like a dirt bike in dirt bike conditions...you will get dirt bike mileage..just sayin.

30 mpg or even 25 in sugar tight trails ain't bad at all imho.....now on asphalt..you should manage better.

Oh....I like the taffy mod on my fcr 35.....your results may vary.

 

I have the SF and before mods I got 62 at best. After all mods I have I get 55-57. How on earth are people getting 75?

 

i got about 65-67 stock if i was nice, but mostly 63-65. after mods, 55-60, pending what im doing, 45-50 if i ride a ton of singletrack. i could understand maybe 35 with a pumper and 351 with lots of singletrack, but 30 is just to low for me. whats everyones street averages, cus if its less than 40, i might opt to go with a 331 or something instead.

 

I never do just street ofr too many miles. I had about a 80% street and got 39mpg with the 351cc&Pumper.

50/50 gets me about 30mpg

and all dirt (treating it like a dirtbike) gets me about 22mpg

Finger's right; You treat your KLX like a dirt bike and then calc mpg and the klx will give you ... well, "the finger" Ha!
