Gas leak noticed from float bowl vent

Default Gas leak noticed from float bowl vent
I just started my 2012 KLX250s from it's winter sleep. I went up and down the driveway a few times and shut the bike off. I noticed the carb float bowl leaking gas excessively...Ideas? warranty?

Did you empty the carb before winter and not retighten the drains allen bolt?
I'd back it out a little and then tighten it back up.
Hope that helps, it's all I got.

Float could be stuck down. Give it a few taps, may break it loose and re-seat the needle. Good luck! Mine fired right up today for the first time this year. Still a bit chilly but got out for a couple of hours anyway!

As stated above, the allen bolt on the drain should be tight. If that's doesnt fix it, your float/needle might be stuck, or your float level might be off.

Careful with that axe, Eugene. Make sure you don't put the Magilla Gorilla on that allen wrench. Just "medium-snug."

hahahah.... ive been accused of that a few times. Im getting better though.

Sounds like float needle is stuck.

Yeah, residual fuel can break down during winter and make a gummy residue in the needle and seat and/or float pin pivot causing a fuel overflow.
