Fuel reserve for 2009 klx250S
I have run into this problem several times:
I was able to start the bike, but as soon as clutch is released, engine stalled. Thus I found I need to switch fuel to reserve. But I only used just a little bit more than 1 gallon. As I remembered that fuel tank capacity is 2 gallon.

Sorry about the confusion. Clutch got nothing to do with it. I should just skip the clutch. Basically when engine started it was running with fuel in the hose and when clutch was released and throttle opened wide, fuel requirement starved and engine stalled. After a few attempt, engine will not start as there is no fuel in the hose.
Just want to know others experience about how much fuel is used before need to switch to reserve?

I have an '06, but my bike just shut off at 87 miles. switched to reserve for about a mile, and then I put in 1.43 gallons to fill it back up, so should be roughly .5 in the reserve. Personally I don't feel like finding out EXACTLY. It's about 99 degrees in the midwest today.
