Default Fuel line

Does anyone know what size fuel line I have to get to replace the line that goes from the valve to the carburetor? I filed halfway through the side of mine while adjusting the choke ****...
Anyway, the line I took off seems like it measures 7/16" OD and maybe 1/4" ID. Does this sound right to anyone? It's an '07, btw.
If so, any suggestions on a good place to pick this up? Ultimately not online, would be ideal.

On my '09 that line seems to be a different inside diameter at each end.

I hope it's not a specialty piece that I have to order. I thought I could just pick some up at a local store...

Try Napa Auto, they usually have all the sizes on spools you can buy by the foot.

I just switched over to the visible (mine is yellow) 1/4" fuel line available at any shop. You can see the fuel in the line and it's extremely flexible.

I went with it after trying to use the stock fuel line with my new TM36 carb. The spigot on the TM36 is a slightly larger diameter than the stock carb. When I used the old fuel line the TM36 spigot cut a sliver out of the inside and it lodged in my float valve and caused a giant leak all over the floor.

The new line fits better and is flexible enough to not kink near the bottom of the turn.

Thanks for all of the info, guys!! I'll be picking some up today. I'm actually going to stop in my local cycle shop to get some, plus it gives me an excuse to look at some other goodies while I'm there!!

A friend of mine chased a mystery fuel delivery problem on his turbo datsun 510. Turned out to be the fuel hose had cut a flap on the inside when installing to the barb.It was a pesky come and go issue ,until he found it.
