Default FS: 2006 D-Tracker - Houston - $1500

This is a 2006 D-Tracker, the Japan market KLX250SF with 17" wheels and sticky sport bike tires. I imported this when I moved back from Japan but I cannot get a title for it because it has a Japanese VIN and does not meet DOT or EPA requirements. TX plate and registration good until December.

This was my urban commuter in Tokyo - jumping curbs, whipping through traffic, and parking on sidewalks every day. A total blast for commuting. I also used to slab it to a 1km track in the mountains, two hours each way at 80mph - I'd get to the track, take the topcase and mirrors off and run it all day. Awesome bike for the twisties!

$1500.

14000 kms / 8600 miles
DynoJet 2152 Stage 2
Goodridge braided steel brake lines
Zeta aluminum bars
Acerbis front fender
DRZ Edge tail light
Brake fluid replaced 2011
Coolant replaced 2011
New battery 2011

Rack and hand guards available separately. Pit stand included.

In the garage in Tokyo

Already have a bike but am interested in your floor tiles. What brand are they and do you like them?

Is that model basically just like my '06 KLX250S...some minor cosmetics aside? The travel isn't even reduced any, is it? Even the rack on the back looks like mine. I'm going to be close to your area in a couple of weeks and might be interested. Your swingarm and everything else looks almost identical to mine.

This is the SF model to your S: 17" wheels and gearing are the only differences; same suspension. The D-Tracker has been available in Japan for a lot longer than the SF in the US.

The floor tiles are from RaceDeck. I'll never have another garage without them! They're awesome - easy to wipe up, not sealed but liquid doesn't penetrate the joints easily. They're rated to like 25,000 psi for forklifts - cars and bikes are no issue. They do scratch easily from kickstands, but no marking at all from tires.

Lots of info on The Garage Journal

garage journal is an awesome place for ideas from all out money is not an option to re-use, re-purpose, and working with what you have or find for free.
