I'll provide a positive review and I think TNC will also. TNC's had them on longer and did some sort of modification so that the stock aluminum cage on the rear guide could be used with the HFM unit. I installed them this winter and just used the HFM guide without using the stock aluminum cage (it was trashed). Very happy. Great ma and pop shop folks, although I do suggest calling in your order and actually talking with them. My first order was on-line and got fuddled up.
I also installed them on the KLR650 winter before last. Not a single complaint.

Others have used those, no negative comments.
But I'm confused when looking at that site as they have a strange year breakdown in the listing: '06 - '09? Should be: '06-'07 and then '09 and up. The '06-'07 have a different shaped swingarm I believe.
I'd contact them to confirm that it will fit an '09.

I've just received the Hot Foot rear chain guide, and it does not fit. As received, it has to bolt in the most rearward holes of the swingarm attachment because of extra plastic up top of the guide. But to clear the sprocket, the guide should be bolted to the most forward holes. It cant unless I remove some material from the guide.
Did I receive the wrong item? Or you guys modded the guide to fit? What I got is
SKU 04-1800-2: 1995-2006 Kawasaki KDX 200 220; 94-96 & 06-09 KLX 250; 97-07 KLX 300; 93-96 KLX 650 Rear Chain Guide

Ray, it sounds like the one that IDRIDR and I got some years ago. I've had mine long enough that I can't remember why the lower, main chainguide wasn't a straight bolt-on, but I didn't have to do much to make it fit. Additionally I used the OEM aluminum plates to sandwich the Hot Foot guide to provide even more structural integrity. I have slammed this setup on rocks and other obstacles and have never had to straighten or fix it. I run a 50T rear sprocket which required me move the guide forward. This setup has been bombproof.
I'm still amazed at the plastic formula they used in these components. I've had mine for years, and they have almost no wear. My bike is an '06.

Ray,
I'm running a 51 rear on an '06. I needed to take a piece of flat stock with some holes and move the guide forward of the position shown in the pic below. In the pic below, you maybe can tell the chain would wear hard on the rear of the guide. Sorry, no pick of the current setting but if you want one let me know.
