I can relate to that, but thats alot of work to do just cause u like it... i like to do stuff that will make a difference.... to each his own.... its very interesting though.
Did you read what he did? I wouldn't say his mods didn't make a difference. Shaved off over 40 pounds, bumped the bore size, revalved the suspension ... sounds like he did a whole lot of stuff that would made a big difference. I agree it would be a lot of work, though.

Yeah, I'm a bit skeptical of the 40 lbs too. But if it's true, that alone would make a huge difference in handling. I'd love the see the box of parts that he removed.

Yep... that would put it down to a dry weight of 222 lbs ..... no way..... but a 220 lb bike would be a lot better and you would really notice it ...... hey anyone want to buy some florida land cheap

Yeh 20kg's sounds a lot.
10 you could account for as he has stripped a fair bit off.

How much would you be prepared to spend on losing weight?
$100 a Kilo?
I would seriously look at it.
Time and effort is no issue.
I would enjoy doing it.

And why is it I would spend $500 and countless hours to drop 5 kg's off the weight of the bike, but I can't be ar*#@ed going to the gym?
We are a funny lot sometimes

Hey neil, going to the Gym is much harder work, i'd prefer to lift my bike on and off the stand 20 times a day than go to the Gym.

Yep it's a lot of work but if it is something you enjoy it's not really work is it??

Chris.
