Interesting Chris.

I have stripped as much as I can off mine to reduce weight.
I'm interested in the sub frame mod.
Cost v weight saving.

20kg's is a huge gain!!

Yeah are we talking cut sections out of the frame, and weld in aluminum bits... Not sure on that one but that is the only way I could see that much weight being saved.

Chris.

Chris.
I think alloy subframes are bolted onto steel frames.
Tabs are welded to the frame.
mmmm a lot of work but something to think about.

And it doesn't look street legal either.

Agree with you there Eric.

It is interesting just how far someone will go.

But never say never.

Any other articles on his bike? I'd be interested in seeingwhat he has replaced with alloy parts. I'm always down to machine some custom parts.

I've also got to get mine on a scale, I've dropped a lot of weight off of it but I am still curious what it weighs.

Anyone have the weight of what a bone stocker weighs ready to run with no gas in the tank?
