forum get together
has anyone but me thought about us all trying to meet up somewhere and ride in the future? of course i know it would probably be a regional thing, but i live in fl and wouldnt mind driving one weekend to meet up with some of you for some good riding and to meet some of you. if anyone is interested in visiting fl, there is some great riding in the apalachicola nat'l forest. anyway, if anyone has any ideas lets talk about it. i can take a day off whenever as long as i have a few weeks notice. keith

Well I'm too far away for that, (WA State) But I did have a question. What did you pay for the Big Gun and what kind of maintenance does it require compared to the Muzzy? I like that it doesn't hit the foot peg.

around $450 with shipping. yeah it clears to footpeg easily. the only downfall is they suggest repacking every 10-15 hours. which means a lot of packing! hopefully it won't be required so often since a lot of my riding is easy street riding and i'm not bringing the rpm up as much. i dont know how often the muzzy needs repacked?

Hey Stiffler. We can all meet up at the Sturgis Rally. We wouldn't even need a sign saying [sm=hia.gif], cause we would stand out like a sore, GREEN, thumb. If we all wore those little helmets that look like bowls we would fit right in. Seriously though, I do think it would be cool to meet the people in this forum. We can all meet at Todd's house for a big ole' Texas style BBQ..and beers..[sm=icon_cheers.gif] Let's make it during football season so we can go watch the DALLAS COWBOYS kick some A*S! HOOYA![sm=icon_rock.gif]

There is already a dualsport event scheduled for October of this year up near Mount Pisgah in North Carolina - I know of many KLX250S owners that will be in attendance.
Also, "Tour de Apalachicola" is tentively set for January of 2007. Cost is about $10 a night for a cabin plus breakfast and dinner! Y'all can't beat that price!
Stay tuned.

I would suffest that the KLX would do better than your backside on a cross country run!
Might want to get really wide pegs as you might be standing a bit along the way!
