GREAT HELP! Thanks, everyone. I've got a weekend project.
Is Seafoam better than Stabil?

Is Seafoam better than Stabil?
Depends who you ask!
Myself, I've been using Seafoam for a long time. In all my vehicles. They all run good for a long time. I like it!

Happy ending
What's the drill for an engine that won't start? Fuel, air, spark.
Went out today to take the bike apart to get at the carburetor and thought I'd top up the battery with my trickle charger while I had access to it. Hooked it up and the charger showed NO charging. I brought the battery inside to warm up and, an hour later, hooked it up again and it showed that it was charging. Two hours later I saw that it was fully charged, put it back in the bike and the bike started up after three kicks.
I don't know if the battery was the sole solution as I'd put stabil in the gas last weekend after I couldn't get it to start.
Thanks for all the help.

RE: Former KLR250 owners: help w/ hard starting!!
FWIW - I had a dead battery on my KLR for about 2 years (actually a dead battery for 1 year, and no battery for the next). I never really missed it.
I didn't really notice any difference in starting, however witha dead battery the lights would dim when idling at a stop light. I recall reading somewhere that the battery was mostly there to power the lights when in "parking" mode (that other key switch position where it won't run, but the lights are on and the key could be removed. It was nothing but a pain because I always had to be careful when parking that I didn't accidentally remove the key in the wrong position.)
