fork spring question
are there any other bikes that share the same fork springs as the klx? i looked on the chart at factory connection for fork springs and there are quite a few bikes out there that use the same springs. unfortunately they don't list the klx. i'm fairly certain that our springs are used in other bikes i just don't know which ones. any help would be appreciated.

RE: fork spring question
The guys at http://www.moto-pro.com have the right spring. I recommend calling and they are very helpful and will help you select the best spring rate for your weight and type of riding.

RE: fork spring question
i can get a set of springs from bike bandit for $85. i think the motopro springs are over $100. bike bandit doesn't list any springs for the klx. they do list just about every other bike. if i could find out which other bikes use our springs i would be all set.
thanks for the reply B i'll be using your post to get me thru the install.

RE: fork spring question
I don't know which bike matches, but I'm pretty sure the KLX300 is not quite correct. I think it's a little long or short, I can't remember which. In a pinch, you could remove one of your stock springs and measure it's length, and then see if you can find a match that way. Are the spring lengths even published? Probably not, otherwise it would be a whole lot easier to cross-reference and find a match.
But you are correct, I think a pair of springs from moto-pro was around $100 + shipping if I recall.

RE: fork spring question
The KLX300 springs are approx. 1/4" longer than the 250S springs. Vurtle put Race Tech KLX300 springs in his and mine. They work just fine. He's running .42's and I have .44's in mine.
There's a thread about it somewhere here...
