Default fork seals

Hi guys, one of my fork seals was leaking after a ride the other day. I used some x-ray film and ran it under the seal to clean away the debris and the leak seems to have stopped.

What I am wondering and am hoping you guys have had some experience…. is this a sign that the seal will fail in the near future or have any of you cleaned out the seal and its still good to go for a long time?

Also my fork bleeders are located under the handle bars so to bleed them I have to take the bars off which is a pain in the butt…. I can’t see any problem with rotating the outer fork tube 180 degrees so they are accessible but just in-case I am missing something can any of your see a problem with this?

As far as I can tell, rotate them where ever makes it easy.

On the seal, maybe, but not necessarily. I've heard of guys cleaning it out and going a long time after...and also not. Just watch it.

If you got the dirt out and didn't dammage the seal it could last for a long time. My experiences are like IDRIDR's
