must be yet another flaw with these bikes. In all the ones I've owned I never had a problem with seals unless they were truly shot. My one seal leaked when I got it with 650 miles on it and I see others have the same problem.

Someone makes a plastic tool in the shape you pretty much described. A buddy of mine got one, but I didn't find out who makes it. It looked like it was very thin and could slide easily up into the seal. Anyone out there know who makes this little tool?

I tried a piece of 35mm negative film strip and cut a small piece out of it to make a hook. One seal was leaking and it pulled the small piece of dirt right out. I then purchased a set of seal savers from sealsavers.com in the 43mm size. I have these on my klx and kx 125 and they work great! Haven't had a leak since!

So once you clean your seals out with a piece of plastic, how do you check the oil levels inside the fork?
