Fork guard replacements.

OOPS! Jinx Sorry bout that It was a little chilly out when I broke mine. Like I said , I was surprised how easily it broke. The UFO stuff seems a little bit thinner but much more flexible.
The seal savers. Some people like them some don't. I think, are a good idea. They do get some dirt in underneath them, but I think they wipe off a lot of crap that the actual fork seals would otherwise have to. I do wash underneath them to rinse out the dirt they accumulate. The neoprene has deteriorated from being out in the elements. They have been on for a little over a year, and the ends are getting a little split. I would say you need to replace them every two years or so.

For those interested in a front brake line guard - FSW makes one for our bikes. Their site says it's for '94-'04 bikes but someone on ADVrider said it'll work on our newer bikes.

10 months later and the fork guards are holding up well. I'm adding a couple shots to show how I ended up fastening the spedo cable to the fork guard.
I sanded a flat on the stock spedo cable guide (plastic grommet thing) so it would set flat on the fork slider, and then zip tied it to the top of the fork slider. Worked very well, in fact I haven't looked at it until I just went out and took these extra shots. It has turned a bit, to match the angle of the cable but still solid.

I ordered black ones just like these and they fit no problem. They are from UFO KX 125/250/500 '96-'02. They are exactly like the ones you put on. but black.

Are the earlier ones, 06-07 the same as the KLX300s and KLX650s? I haven't gotten to look at my brother's bike, but I thought they used the same basic forks.
