Follow manufacturers recommendation of 22PSI for both front back back?

I ride with 22+ in both tires in all conditions. And yes I realize that lower pressure helps with traction and what not but it also increases the chance of bending a rim, or spinning a tire and getting a flat, and rim locks are a pain. I never complain about the ride....mostly because I'm by myself when I ride....

I rode mine for 3 years with no locks, and 20 psi. After letting the front pressure drop, and getting another flat, I finally put rim locks on, along with a Trakmaster rear, and balanced them with stick on weights. Since I ride a lot of single track, I was really looking forward to the TM, and the better traction with 15 psi. I hate it. Something has upset the balance and handling of the bike, and I hate the way is is in the woods now. I suspect it's the lighter, and slightly narrower TM tire. I had a K270 on the rear and loved it. I expected the TM to be even better, but it's not. I think I will return to my original set up, and 22 psi. I find no difference in control with lower pressure, and I ride fast single track.
