Folding Mirrors

RE: Folding Mirrors
This brings up a reminder that we all sometimes forget or new guys don't know, so here it is. At the top of the page there are 16 links, one of them being search. If you click on that and then type what you are looking for and then in the drop down menu you can pick which of the forums you want the search limited to, I always pick the 250S section. I did a search and found a few posts and so its that easy. I bought those mirrors and love them, some of the guys on bikes are like man those things are cool. Anyway don't under estimate the search feature, it hasn't let me down yet. just a reminder, after all I had to be reminded at least a half dozen times, LOL Good luck.
Well that's two times I almost had the link posted in here but it seems my motherboard is giving it up and my screen goes blank. Let's try this one more time.
Here is the link to the mirrors. And also included is a couple of pictures of mine. I really like them. Oh and a bonus picture of my bike stand.

RE: Folding Mirrors
Deej, do you find that those mirrors are stable? I mean at highway speeds etc, can you see anything in them besides a big blur?
Also, do they stay firmly in the up position, or do they flop over a bit when things start getting rough?
I'd want them to stay up, even in rough terrain, unless I manually turn them down.
Looks like they screw right into the stock mounting holes?

They are really stable, although I have noticed that with the muzzy until I get up to cruising speed they do vibrate more now. But after you go through the gears, and get to the speed you want to go, they settle down. As far as them moving I have been on some of the roughest trails you can imagine, 6 inch shot rock, logs and so forth, and the mirrors have never moved. The nuckle is totally adjustable and screws right into the stock holes.

RE: Folding Mirrors
Do you need a wrench to loosen them up in order to fold? Good to hear they use the stock mirror holes as the mounts they sell on there look as much if not more than the mirrors themselves. I tried to call to order a pair, but just got an answering machine. [&:]

RE: Folding Mirrors
No wrench needed. The knuckle is tightened so that you can still fold by pushing it, like a ball joint. I pointed the open part of the folding joint toward each other so they would fold in out of the way.

RE: Folding Mirrors
The best mirrors: Ken Sean mirrors, I ordered from dennis kirk. About 15.95 each. They are stable at 65 on the highway, don't need any tools to fold. I would post a link, but i'm at work and dennis kirk is a blocked site.
