Default FMF Slip on which one?

Decided it's time to rejet the carb and upgrade the exhaust. I decided on a slip on from FMF (hard to beat the 20% discount).
Seems everyone is using the Q4. But FMF has another can - the Powercore 4. The Powercore is cheaper but requires purchasing a silencer.
Anyone know the difference? Is the Q4 a Powercore with the silencer?
Also, is the FMF spark arrestor US Forest Service approved?

Thanks for the help!

I've got the Q4 and like it, though I have to say I was surprised at how loud it was compared to the stock. I'm not into making alot of noise when riding which is why I went with the Q4. It's not overly loud but is louder than stock.
As for the spark arrestor, I believe any of the screens supplied by companies would be forest approved.
The Q4 has a great sound and easy to install.

There's a New Member area??? Oh well, live and learn. I've heard nice things about the Muzzys, but 290 clams vs. 550. The FMF seems the better deal for my limited cash on hand. And there is a bunch of other "needed" stuff.

I checked out JC motors - yes, they do have the best price. But are they reputable?

I didn't do a lot of searching but 550 bucks was the price I remember for the Muzzy's. Then again, my short term memory is sketchie at best....

Just took a look at JC motors address. They're just down the street. Don't recall ever seeing them. Maybe my sight is going too.

Hi Doc, The Muzzy's are high$$, and pretty loud. I have the FMF Q4 and love it. A company called HMF makes a nice slip on that is pretty popular and a little less expensive. Search around for those, and see what you think. You can search exhaust threads here on KF and see some of the options, and opinions.
