FMF Q4 slip on for 09, ebay store.

RE: FMF Q4 slip on for 09, ebay store.
So that IS a pipe for the '09. I believe that's new. Your the first person to mention the reducer sleeve I think.
In the past, the two brothers and hmf slip on's fit the 250 header. Other than that, you needed a 300 header and then any aftermarket pipe for the 300.

it's a shame that people like you with misinformation come on here in an attempt to make someone look foolish when it's just yourself that you do it to
Why don't you call FMF up and argue with them. Tell them their FAQ is wrong.
Nice carbon build up in that quiet core. Your math is horrible. Where do you get $600 from?
You are an odd bird.

Update...
The ebay seller said that 09 pipe will not fit the 07. He directed me to ebay item #190229521373 which is for the 07 at the same price. He didn't answer my question about whether some type of reducer sleeve is included or not.

you all kill me fumbling around for a pipe. the frame did not change, any pipe that fits the '06/'07 will fit the '09- 'nuff said.
carbon buildup- what do you expect, it's not buildup it's just that a pipe does not stay clean unless your bike is special. what's msrp on a fmf full system for the KLX. when you find out, post it up. I think I'm pretty close.
you said my dents were by the cylinder, far from it. if anything they would enhance performance providing some type of backpressure. you're a newbie, it's okay.

is it me, or are the "which pipe is better" threads the most entertaining? i guess i'm biased towards what i personnally run on my klx, but to me the fmf Q4 and especially the powerbomb are just plain sexy. once again, to each his own. i'm quite sure muzzy, big gun, and fmf are all really, really close performance wise. if i were being a jerk, i'd say to iowa, you'll probably be loving the fmf on your 2012 klx. one last thing... the fmf is extremely quiet at idle, but on the gas, it's not nearly as quiet as some believe.

Yea but if we were to have a loudest pipe contest I would win. To tell you the truth, pipe loyalty is overrated. I mean Briggs and Stratton could have come out with a pipe for my bike back at the end of 05 and I would have been happy. Its all good. And if you think that hasn't been done, take a look at a friends bike. Notice the muffler.[8D] He was running that B&S muffler until hos 130 606 wore out, because it rubbed on the stock can. I wonder if he switched it back yet.

You said there was misinformation in my last post. Where?
Are you going to argue with the FMF FAQ?
You keep going back to that newbie comment IG, like it's going to upset me or something. I'm curious, what makes you think I'm a newbie to bikes? Last time you said it was because of the low number of posts' I have on this forum. And, you were serious too! In the real world IG, those dents are considered close to the cylinder, they are before or in the beginning part of the bend.
The ebay guy said the '09 will not fit the '07.
FMF says it will fit with the reducer sleeve. It has nothing to do with the frame. Is that sinking in yet?
I don't have a full FMF system. Where you got that comment from about me spending $600, I'll never know. I clearly state I have a 300 header from FSW with a powercore4 pipe. I said 440ish. There are so many different FMF setups, you could spend $600 to thousands for the titanium stuff I suppose, but I have no friggin clue for sure what cost's what and I don't care to.
This wasn't a post about which exhaust is best; that's a ridiculous discussion only to be explored by drunks sitting around a fire. It was a post about a pipe that was specifically stated to be for an '09.
When was the last time you heard of an FMF slip on made specifically for a 250S? I thought that was kind of interesting and there seem to be quite a few 09 owners here lately.
I don't try to make you look foolish IG, you do that quite well yourself. Again, as far as I know the two bro's and hmf are the slip ons that don't require a header change. Muzzy, big gun and I think Staintune make full systems specifically for the 250S. Someone please correct me if that's not right.
Any response to me IG will fall on deaf ears. You're on my ignore list.

You bought a muzzy that was specifically made for the KLX, didn't you? Byrddog was looking to do something else, and it's not real clear what to do with the KLX 250S exactly. But so far you've been extremely helpful. Keep your mouth shut about people fumbling around for a pipe setup when you go out and buy a full system specifically for your bike. And, a dented one at that.

You said there was misinformation in my last post. Where?you claimed that my dented header pipe which you had never even seen before was dented at the cylinder when it is at the tip of the end of the header.

Are you going to argue with the FMF FAQ?
fmf is trying to sell you THEIR product, the one they overprice, the one they want you to choose over something like I bought. They will say anything to make you think that any pipe you buy besides theirs is inferior.
You keep going back to that newbie comment IG, like it's going to upset me or something. I'm curious, what makes you think I'm a newbie to bikes? Last time you said it was because of the low number of posts' I have on this forum. And, you were serious too! In the real world IG, those dents are considered close to the cylinder, they are before or in the beginning part of the bend.
are you blind? if you look reallllllllllllllllllllllllll close, you'll see they're way after the bend. and if you also look closely at the muzzy header, you'll see it has a sort of a 'powerbomb' part where the welds meet and the header becomes larger.
The ebay guy said the '09 will not fit the '07.
that's your problem right there, you listen to customer service "guys" too much that have no idea what your bike looks like, let alone what the new '09 is or how it may have changed.
FMF says it will fit with the reducer sleeve. It has nothing to do with the frame. Is that sinking in yet?
this newly mentioned 'reducer sleeve' is just something they have brought out because the original Q4 slip-on, which IS manufactured SPECIFICALLY for the KLX250S, had fitment problems and since there is a new bike out, they are saying this new part will make it fit. I'm here to tell you as a past '06 owner, that there are NO differences to any mounting point back there for any exhaust.

It was a post about a pipe that was specifically stated to be for an '09.
no one is saying any pipe is better. I simply stated that any pipe that fits an '06 or '07will fit the '09. Isn't the older muzzy on my bike proof enough for you? I just offered my likings on the biggun and why I went with the muzzy and that I didn't care too much for the fmf's.
When was the last time you heard of an FMF slip on made specifically for a 250S? Muzzy, big gun and I think Staintune make full systems specifically for the 250S. Someone please correct me if that's not right.
LOL, who's looking foolish now? Not a newbie eh? there are several full systems out there that will fit the 250S that were designed for the 300, but specifically designed only 250S systems belongs to the FMF powerbomb that I've been hating on. But what's the point really? Any full 300R system will bolt right on so for them to design it specifically for the 250S was ridiculous. Also, wrong again. the muzzy, biggun, and staintune were designed and manufactured specifically for the 300R. You also left out the the Q4 from fmf, it fits the 250S header pipe and was built for the 250S.
Any response to me IG will fall on deaf ears. You're on my ignore list.
LOL, you'll see this one way or another.
