They also list pipes for 06/07. Thanks for the tip.

 

the '09 and '06/'07 share the same frame as nothing has changed so any pipe that fits the old bike will fit the new one.

 

Yeah ive seen it,, I want it bad but I have to wait till I get the car done first,, she is my first priority right now lol

 

that's a pretty good price. i got mine last year for $325 plus s&h.

 

So... to double check... 09KLXowner says the "09" pipe will fit an '07. Do we all agree with that? Thanks!

 

LOL, trust me, you don't need to ask others if this is true? I've owned both an '06 and an '09, the frames are identical. Do a search and you'll see tons of info about the pipes fitting all years of the KLX250S. The FMF is huge though, sobe warned and looks ridiculous hanging off the back, like a growth if you will coming from behind the sidepanel. Search for pics and you'll see what I'm talking about. It will sustain damage in a crash as it sticks out nearly past the rear fender. flame on!!

 

Sorry 09KLXowner... I trust you. I've been lurking long enough to know you've been around. I was just trying to get a better feel before I hit the BIN button. I like the FMF for the quietness of it (my a**hole neighbors will like that also) and the fact that FMF has been around since I was a kid drooling on the Flying Machine Factory stuff. I guess the new techno core islonger to assist reducing sound. Makes sence, more muffler = less sound. I am bothered a bit by the size. I wonder if it will cause problems with saddle bags and the like? If I strap a sleeping bagor tent on the rack, willit be touching the muffler? I bet so...

 

some on here have it, so you'll have to ask them. it's just a big muffler plain and simple. to me, it's just too big for the bike and looks goofy but that's just what I think. I'm sure there are others who feel this way too that won't say it that clearly if at all.
