FMF Q2 Video Link

RE: FMF Q2 Video Link
They have my bike...so we will have to wait and see what they configure. I assume that most of the cans that they manfacture are somewhat generic and then they adapt them to each model. Like I said I should get the bike back from them in 2 weeks on the 11th of July.

Iactually meantto address thatto the guy who already put one on his bike (video clip). I am assuming that he is using either a 300orFSW headpipe, if installation went smoothly.

That is what I want. I put out a post about the Two Brothers, but if FMF will have one by the mid July, I might wait. This is the most news I've heard about them getting one out. I check every month to see when they might have it done.

RE: FMF Q2 Video Link
The q2 does NOT fit the stock head pipe. A simple dry fit will show thatit is about two inches to short and there is a difference in the diameter of the pipes. I contacted Jerry at Four Stroke Works and he basically stated that if I sent him my q2, he would modify it to fit with one of his head pipes. He did a great job of doing just that. He did the modifications for free in order to sellhis head pipe and I would recommend his work to anyone. However, there are a few issues I would mention. As the head pipe routes throught the framework and motor it comes in close contact with the inside of the frame and the motor. I had to remove the buddy pegs in order to provide clearnace as well. All in all the pipe and q2 do not flow through the space in the bike with as much clearance as I would like. I am currently getting some vibration in the foot pegs which I am sure is due to the exhaust system.
The jetting is a work in progress but I am getting it tuned in pretty good. On the plus side, the power increase, tone, and overall impressions of the pipe are all positive. Of course I can't compare it to any of the other several purely bolt on product (Muzzy, Big Gun, etc). If FMF is going provide a truly bolt on product I will be upset because I too tried to get them on board with our bike before pursuing the course that I did.
I would say to anyone considering the aftermarket exhaust route, don't expect it to be cut and dry. Even If there are no fit issues, you should be prepared for a few weeks worth of jetting issues.
