FMF Powercore and carb rejetting done!

FMF Powercore and carb rejetting done!
Well I installed the slip on (Powercore 4) and installed a Six Sigma Racing jet kit.
WOW the bike feels alive now. I actually pulled the front tire shifting into second
The jet kit I ordered came with 3 main jets 125, 130 and 135. It had steel shims and a plastic shim for the needle valve. It also came with a couple of drill bits and a screw (to remove the mixture cover). The kit instructions claimed that drilling the slide would have adverse affects on slower driving speeds and was only recommended for off road use.
So I used the 130 main. Installed the thick plastic shim and backed off the mixture screw 3 turns (as recommended in the instructions)
The kit came with no pilot jet but I figured that by backing off the mixture screw 3 turns is where they are richening up the idle to 1//4 throttle range.
Anyway the bike runs much better and there are no flat spots in the throttle. It also warms up much faster and I hardly ever need to use the choke.
Oh and the Powercore 4 is mega loud when you jump on it. not so bad just putting around though.
Just though I would share what I had done so far.
ETA
Fell free to advise me on what I should do next

Glad you like it.....errrr, but you'll have to dyno it to be sure you are getting at least 30rwhp at 11,000RPM, otherwise the bike is under-powered and you'll have to spring for a KTM. :-)
I tell ya, Kawi really missed the mark on this one, IYKWIM. LOL!

Have you put on a freer breathing air filter (e.g. TwinAir)?
The 13 tooth front chain sprocket was a worthwhile change IMO.
Depending on your weight, getting your front and rear springs done would be money VERY well spent.
Otherwise your bike sounds very similar to mine now. My next steps are:

Otherwise your bike sounds very similar to mine now. My next steps are:
- LED/EDGE tail light
- New Pro-Taper Universal handlebars (only coz my stock ones are bent though). Might look into risers as well.
- Y junction carb breather pipe mod so I don't struggle going through deep water
- Braided front brake line (though I'm not in a huge rush to do this)
- Decent offroad tyres when my stock Dunlops wear out (quite liking WestOzKLX's choice)

BTW I just drove it on the highway (I95) and had no trouble keeping up with traffic going 70-75 but Id rather not run those speeds if I can help it.
Im still looking to clean up the rear fender and plate mount and the Edge kit seems only to work on the later model bikes. Mine is a 2006.
Suspension on dirt bikes is something Ill have to study up on. Im 170lbs but I can tell the suspension is a little soft if I ever want to do some hardcore off road riding.
