Yes, Marcelino's mod. I've done the full mod but no need to move the ACR, in my case.

I like it. It gave the engine more grunt and reduced the intake noise, just like Marcelino said it would. It's been a little over 11,000km since I've done it last July.

Well, I`ve decided to get the EJK, as well. Gonna run it with air box lid off. Should match the cam mod well. Everything will be here on the first week of February.

Did you use the stock settings, or played some with it?

Stock settings worked well, just make a note of your settings, then fiddle a bit with the three main settings. You can leave the two switch points where they are untill you can get used to playing with the 1/4 1/2 and full throttle settings.
As mentioned before, I felt big difference in throttle responce with a UNI filter. Only cost around 20 Bucks and I felt very happy with gains.
The tutorial on the EJK website allows you to actually press the buttons online and see what the effects on throttle/fuel flow would be.
Enjoy

Thanx for all the help, man. Yeah, I thought about the UNI filter, but I'll save the buck for now. Already spent enough cash on the pipe and controller.

Put them on 2 days ago. I was a little disappointed with the FMF. That thing is so close to the airbox. What were they thinking? But the airbox is holding fine, so far.
The thing is LOUD and I love it! My fun now is to wide open the throttle when going thru the tunnel on the way to work and back home.
I can't tell, yet, about performance. Still getting a feel and understanding how the engine is working with the EJK controller.
I've removed the airbox lid but the growling was unberable, so I put it back on and now I can hear only the pipe...did I say it's LOUD?

I don't wanna admit it, but I should've bought the UNI filter. Oh well, next time.

Oh, and the bike looks great with the pipe. Much better that the ultra heavy and "fugly" stocker.

I took a flat bit and drilled a bunch of holes into the airbox lid. You will note under the lid are a number of squares for reinforcing. Get a bit the correct size and you can drill out between each square. This will increase airflow without the extra grawl you get with the lid off. I found I needed extra airflow to compensate for added fuel flow from the EJK and pipe7 header.

If you plan on crossing any rivers, just tape up the holes and put your snorkle in, untill you get to the other side.

Yeah, I noticed that, too. It needs a lil more air. I am taking 2 weeks off from work and will have plenty of time to fiddle with the EJK.

Nah, my SF only sees pavement. No dirt or rivers.

I think I got it just about right. Since the only thing that changed was the pipe, I didn't go crazy on it and changed the base setting quite a bit. Just enough to leave that lean zone. So, I end up with: G: 0.5, Y: 1.5, R:1.5. Didn't fiddle with the switch points much: GB: 3, YB: 3, RB: 4.5.
Since the engine is running smooth, I've decided to ride the bike with these settings all week to get a good feel how it's running and then increase fuel to check any changes. Pretty much fine tunning.

Only thing that bothers me a little, is the behavior when decelerating down to 3.2-3.5rpm and giving it throttle again. The engine feels like it's chocking. Like, it hesitates for a second and then goes. Any ideas where I should be looking at? Switch point maybe.

I need that UNI filter. You know...that one I didn't want to buy to save $20.

Play a bit with the first switch point, by decreasing the setting it brings in more gas sooner, which if you are a bit lean should cure it. You could be a tad rich and be bogging with too much gas and have to go the other way. Hard to tune over the net. Always make a note of your base settings so you can go back, as well as having a reference point.
Just remember the standard EJK for the 250,does not deliver huge amounts more than stock, so you can also try beefing up your G, Y and R settings to get rid of the bog.

When I ran the standard 250 EJK on the 300 kit, I moved the first switchpoint all the way back to get rid of that hesitation.

Ok. You can see I've actually moved the GB down a little from 4.5 (EJK default) to 3. It actually diminish the hesitation and, if I remember right, it moved the hesitation down from 4-4.2krpm to 3.2-3.5krpm. I'll try to move it down a lil more to see how it goes on the way back home this evening.

Yes, I plan to increase the numbers a bit, but only next week.

Your bike's looking good. I need stickers on mine, too.

Cheers!
