Default Is FMF powerBomb worth the money

I am looking at exhaust for 09 klx. Being in aust choice is limited I wanted a FMF Q4 but there are currently no aust importer for FMF. The current dist is no longer importing. They have one fmf power bomb header left for $400 AUD seems a bit expensive. Question for those fellow klx riders who have header pipes Does it make that bigger difference.I am looking at a locally made slip on by Barrett.Do any aust riders have the powerbomb if so is it the same as the aust header pipe ie length as I thought i read previously that the aust header pipe is longer, dont want to pay $400 and find it wont fit my new slip on.

I don't think the P-bomb header is $400 better than the stock header, if any. I don't have one but have seen that opinion written on here.
$$ better spent on something else.

If it's that much I'd spend the money elsewhere.. I got the header pipe and muffler new at a wholesale rate. Can't remember exact but I want to say $375 for both.

It's a great system though. Sounds frickin awesome. Nice and quiet at low RPM's if you don't want to be annoying, but over 4k or so when you open it up it definitely sounds great.

Don't waste your money. The slip on is what makes all the difference. For $400 you could pretty much get 340cc kit from Bill Blue, a far better way to spend the cash. I have the Two Brothers M7 pipe on a standard header. (The Aus bikes come with the 300R length header although the slip on I have is marked 250S it fit up without too much trouble and hasn't leaked in the 18 months I've had it. Yes the 300R header is slightly longer than the 250S header so pipes for both 250 and 300 will fit may need to trim 5mm off of a 250 slip on mid pipe.

Got my 2 Bros' from BTO sports, great service and delivered to Perth in 5 days.
They have the FMF Powercore 4 on special at the moment for US$269.99 (AUS$327,) add US$50 for delivery and it'll come in under AUS$400. Grab some cheap pants and a jersey or two and some goggles. Big savings against the Aus shop prices.

Barrett slip on is AUS$600. CHOKE!!! WTF.
ducatiss750 if you're gonna spend that much coin get onto BTO sports and get whatever pipe you want. They have Two Brothers Pro Circuit and FMF that all fit the KLX250S. Add some gear you need and postage and handling and you're still way under AUS$600.

Example.
FMF Powercore 4 pipe AUS$326(US$269)
http://www.btosports.com/p/FMFPC4M

Fox -- 2009 HC Jersey & 180 Pant Combo AUS$85 (US$70)
http://www.btosports.com/p/FOX09COMBO5

Smith - Intake Graphic Series Goggles AUS$36 (US$30)
http://www.btosports.com/p/SMITHINTAKEGOGC

Twin Air Filter Kawasaki (to go with the pipe) AUS$33 (US$27)
http://www.btosports.com/p/335TWINK

Add AUS$100 for air freight and you only come in at AUS$580.

That Barrett pipe seem less appealing now???

The power of the internet. Giving us more for our (HARD EARNED IN MY CASE) dollar.

Thanks Westoz
Whats the difference between powercore and Q4 no one on the forum has mentioned powercore before. BTO do not list Q4 for KLX 250 and the powercore is only listed for klx up to 07.

They will get one for you. Email them or give them a call.

Here is the link to the part numbers from FMF. Your bike has the 300R header so you can fit the slip on for the 300R bike.

http://www.fmfracing.com/Mode/Bike/2...WASAKI_KLX300R

All the pipes fro the 250S/R and 300R models from 94 onwards will fit. Take your pick.
Powercore 4 is the same a the Q4 just a tad shorter (doesn't stick out as much as the Q4) and slightly louder.
