Default FMF exhaust

I got my FMF power core 4 today and notice that the pipe is alot bigger than the header pipe. The inst. says use hi temp silicone to seal it.has anyone else got this pipe and if so did you need to use a bracket or hanger to mount. It seems to hit the air box with the tab that is welded to the pipe just foward of the muffler itself.any one have a pic of this pipe on the bike.I wonder if I should maybe think about a different exhaust ?thanx

that exhaust is made for the 250R not the 250S

i had it and it just wasnt going to work. id suggest returning it and getting a new pipe. i mean if you have access to a shop then you could make it work, but i didnt feel like doing all that.

i now have an HMF and LOVE IT!!

FMF makes a Q4 pipe specifically for our bikes: http://www.fmfracing.com/application...50S&cat=31

Header Link:
http://www.fmfracing.com/application...50S&cat=32

They list the 2006 KLX250S but it fits the 07 model as well obviously.

Part No: KKLX25006SAE

Just go to:

https://hmfengineering.com/shop.php?category_id=31

The HMF muffler comes in several styles and finishes. You might also want to consider the Quiet Core insert with it.

The Muzzy is also good if you have the money but it is loud and is rather small looking - Makes the KLX250 look like a 110cc bike

I bolted the FMF powercore right on my bike with the FSW header...or you could use the klx300 header...It says right in the order slip from FMF that is for the 300 ONLY and will not fit the 250R or S.I bought a header to go around that and it is a powerhouse with it on.
