Just picked one up this morning. Being where I live (Isolated.) The prices on tyres and the like have come up sharply in the last 6 months (post WFC.) The Dunlop D908F is a little rich now so I'm trying one of these. They come on recommendation from more than one Finke Desert Racer. (Good enough for me. Google Finke Desert Race.) They usually pair it with a Pirelli Scorpion MX Extra on the rear but it's not DOT, besides I love the 120 section Dunlop D606 on the rear so I'll pair it with that and see how it goes.

thanks for the suggestion, but its basicly all hard pack with some sand here and there near me. a good way to describe it is watch supercross and pay attention to the dirt, now watch anaheim or san deigo, blue grove every time, thats basicly what i have. if it wasnt for the loose stuff on top, i could probally get away with a gripster.

Glad my front flat occurred at low speed, only about 45kph coming out of a right hand turn. We drive on the correct side of the road here not the wrong (right) side. :P Nothing like a flat with no tools but luckily I only had to push it for 300 meters to a mom and pop shop where my valve stem was found to be cut from lack of air pressure. I now have tools and spare tubes but still need to improve my language skills!

I know that my 07's speedo is way off, 70mph indicated is 60 actual, so 92 indicated would be about 80 actual. I do not believe my bike would do an actual 90mph, there just is not enough power to do it. My KLR650 would do 90+ but even for it it was not an easy task. My current 650 will do 90 - 95 but it has 45rwhp, I would not even want to try that on my KLX350 ,unless I could find a long downhill at sea level, and raise the gearing?

i bet a 351 with a 15 tooth cs could do an honest 90, not for long though unless you like doing valves.

I have a Scorpion XCMS on the front of my '09 now, and likt it a lot. Probably going to stick with it for the Florida sand we run. I have run a 777f too ,and liked it enough to order one for my DRz this morning... Trakmaster II rears for pretty much everything normally. This go- round the DRZ gets a T-63 to see how they hold up to wheelies
Afterall, it is my daily rider
