Flat Front Tire @ 92 MPH on Highway...
I got a 2009 KLX250S. I was riding today on the highway maxed out at about 92 mph and something felt like it broke loose and scared the absolute crap outta me. I didnt panic and slam on the breaks, but i coasted to a very quick stop and noticed that my front tire was almost completely flat. In a matter of another 2-3 minutes it was. I'm just thanking god I didnt loose control and go over the handle bars, expecially when i'm already riding with a fractured back and a crushed disc from about a little over a month ago (Arenacross).
I feel kinda dumb for asking this but i've truly never owned one SINGLE bike long enough to have ever gotten a flat. I was wondering if any of you guys have ever changed the front tire on this bike? Is it just take the axle out and pull the tire off? Is it hard? What kind of tube do I need and what part number? Where do I order it from? Any useful information would be greatly appreciated.

I just did it twice within a week on my bike. It's very simple if you have the right technic. This video helped alot...

As far as tools, here's what I use - recommended but not limited to:
10mm wrench
14mm on the front hub?? I could be wrong, but it's close.. Maybe 17mm..
wheel bearing grease
I would say two tire irons minimum, I like to use two and a spoon.
air compressor to fill tube
bead buddy
windex
baby powder
I think that's about it.. Be careful tightening the four nuts that hold the front axle plate on. They pop very easily. Just hand snug with small wrench.
Good luck.

Wow, at first I thought you were gonna say you were typing this post from a hospital bed! I've had two flat rears that felt like I hit ice but no front flats yet, thank God. I just got a new front UPS today (Pirelli Scorpion Rally) and will evaluate the tube when I swap tires. I used the youtube vid posted and was able to get it almost right the first time. Be sure to air up the (rear) tires all the way or you can spin out a valve stem.
