Default Flames on Decel!!!!

Hi Guys I have a 96 KLX as well as an 09 and my 96 shoots flames on decel, which in the garage is pretty exciting IMHO but obviously not ideal tuning.
I am running no lid on the air box with stock filter. I have a staintune exhaust as well. I have checked the carb and its running a 132 main but not sure on the pilot. everything else is standard. I also have trouble starting it.
Any ideas what I should do.
After reading other posts i suspect a 138 main and a 40 pilot. Is a 35 standard.

Way too rich, there is alot of unburned gas in the exhaust. I saw a 06 klx shoot flames before... pretty cool. Main jet maybe too big, needle setting off?

Hey Westy
I did a top end rebuild my self as I bought if of ebay with a holed piston where a valve have broken. So possibly any number of things could be wrong up top like poorly seated valves and valve clearance etc but I did check them and double check them but..... well I'm no mechanic

I don't see why you'd want to stop the flame deal. In fact, it looks like you need even richer jetting for a better flame. I agree with deej...that's pretty weak.

But seriously I agree with the responses that indicate a rich jetting condition. Maybe I missed it, but do you still have the fresh air exhaust system hooked up?
