$20 for the same quality handlebars at any bike shop. Or upgrade to some nice strong tapered ones. Speaking of, we hit Hatfield McCoy just this last week. We were hauling pretty good, at least when you could see around the next bend or far enough ahead because going off those trails is NOT an option (read cliff). So we were cruising about 30 through long water/mud holes down by Pinnacle Creek and BAM, I hit a hole obviously used by the 4x4s. I was about halfway across when my front end just went down into a deep rut and I washed out....boots fulla muddy water, helmet soaked....then my buddy decides to roost me not getting what just happened and he hits a rut about 5 yards to my right. We never stopped laughing ! My forks got torqued but I was able to squeeze the front tire between my legs and torque the handlebars to get it close, then the next rocky hill got it all straightened out. I loosened them and retorqued them today to relieve any stress that my have been in the front end from the incident but as usual after a crash the KLX brought me home ! Love this bike !

Nothing worse than boots full of mud. I recently switched from the mx pants to an over the boot style pant from thor (everyone else makes them too) They're water proof and breathe nice. I'd never been so muddy before and my feet were bone dry.

They are funny stories after the suffering goes away. I was walking my bike a few feet down hill on pavement and desided to jump on it side saddle and let it carry me (after all thats why I bought it right!) well when I did my foot hit the shifter and it went into 1st gear and came to a sudden stop. Guess which dirrection gravity decided to pull? yup the opitsite side and we fell over. Of course there always has to bewitnesses![sm=smiley32.gif]

I thought dropping a dirt bike was just part of riding. I have dropped mine and wrecked so many times it's crazy. I tried jumping like the guys on the MX track and broke three ribs. So far I have replaced one side panel, clutch lever, break lever, handle bars, and a radiator guard. My bike still looks new because I just put new parts on it when I mess it up.

Falling is part of the joy of riding (in the dirt, pavement sucks). Just look at my avatar, everyone had fun when that happened.
