You should see the difference a new exhaust makes. I have a dyno chart (before & after) from when I took a stock bike and added a silencer. The low end torque easily doubled. Just a silencer and rejet.
I can't even put my pinky finger in the stock KLX silencer. She's all plugged up. And that airbox, man is that thing restricted. If you aren't doing water crossings, remove the top of the box.

Sure. Now this isn't from a KLX but the curves will be similar for uncorking any bike. The first run was using the stock silencer - the second was using an XR's Only stainless can and a re-jetted carb.
The torque curve is the dotted line. If you look at the values under 2800rpm, you can see the torque tripled at the very low end and was doubled up to about 3000rpm.
Please note, this does not mean your bike will feel like it has twice as much power. You will notice that it'll be much more resistant to stalling when going slow and it is much more usable and low RPMs.
