It was a great day to go for a ride in the mud.
Good colors.
stuck
mud
This hill took me 20 minutes or so to get up. It was very slippery. Half used Kenda 50 50 tires didn't help.
Great place for a rest.
the aftermath.
Nothing is straight anymore. haha

OK , here's what I had ready for a Bucky ride report.
It rained and rained the week before the Bucky, one of the club members that put it on told me that if he could have called it off on Friday he would have. Too many things had already been put in motion though, so on it went. I think some of the club members were dissapointed because they had to cut some of the off road sections out, and the rest of the off road sections were really muddy in spots. They knew what a great trail they had before all the rain , and I think it was disappointing to present a trail that was only a part of what they had put together. To me it was awesome the way it was ! I can only imagine what it must have been like before it was shortened, and before some of it got so muddy. BTW the shortened version was still 90 miles long, and I thought some of the mud was fun. The route consisted of woods sections linked together by twisty wisconsin backroads. Gotta say, some of those twisty backroads were almost as fun as riding in the woods. A big thank you goes out to the land owners who graciously allowed us to ride their land, and the folks at the Madison Motorcycle Club who worked so hard to put the ride on. All the money made from the Bucky was donated to the American Legion In Cross Plains Wi, (where the event was held ).
Started the day by picking up fellow KF member Carl aka "Baldie on KF" here in town and then headed up to the Mad city. Chilly wet morning.
Sound check station. Muddy.
For reference Carl has an 09klx with a P-bomb and the 2 brothers, Mine is the 07 with the FMF Q4 slip on. The KLX wasnt in their reference book for sound testing. Some how they evetually settled on 3500rpm for testing the klx. The Q4 was at 92 db's and the 2 bros was at 99db's.
Muddy fields
Trouble ahead on the first "hero" section, something is holding up the line.
The offending tricky spot, that photo's don't do justice.
I didn't make it up either, too tight and slick.
Great view from up here.
Here is one of the optional "hero" sections. Looks easy huh? As some of you know pictures do not capture the steepness very well. In this photo the hill just looks like a nice little trail. It was steeper than it looks, and had 8-12 inch loose rocks near the top. I looped the bike out near the top of this hill, and then tried 2 more times before admitting defeat. I think I could have made it but I was exhausted and tired of pounding my bike down in those rocks.
As the day went on the sun came out and made for some better pictures.
