Finally get to ride my bike
I am finally able to put some mileage (km's) and mud on my new bike. Hopefully the link works and takes you to my pile of images on flickr.
It's an 09 Thai Spec KLX250 (note that there is no S on it but the model reference number does). Slightly different than the ROW (rest of the world); Fuel Injection is the biggest thing. Can't wait to get the break-in completed, not following the manual per say or the ride it like you stole it platform. On most of my back roads, used loosely, hitting 60km feels like your rocketing down the road, nothing to do with the road being only a couple meters wide. On the highway it's another story, speed limit is 80km here and that is about 5k. Only have 195km right now....
If you notice you'll see my Garmin Zumo 450 and my V.I.O. POV mounted to the bars and the POV control jerried to my seat in a few images.

She is all stock, except for the Utah skid Plate. I have a 2BR M7 to slip on but want to get a feel for th bike after she breaks-in. I will have to mod the 2BR's S-pipe as I have to mount the O2 sensor to it and the factory head pipe is slightly different too and has a different part number than everyone's.
There are lots of other bikes, like DRZ's and KTM's about but most of the bikes are up in Chang Mai area and the Golden Triangle. But this is the first off the shelf street legal bike of it's kind in Thailand I believe.

Have to agree with you about waiting to put on the 2BR. Have to have a baseline to make a comparison. Ride on and keep us posted.

I rode a rented 175 yammie from Bankok to Chiang Mai out to Mai Sot, I had that bike for an entire month. Very nice riding country except for me riding on the wrong side of the road once in a while.
