Noob question: what is the advantage of fitting Vapor unit over the stock unit?
More functions can be selected, numbers easier to read?

Thanks.

Real digital temp guage. Very precise programmable speedo. Programmable warning lights for imminent overheating. I'm guessing you have an '09 or later?

JHoffy - thanks for the pics. They're worth a thousand...

Where did you find the MX rear fender?

Those look like 1.25" risers. Did you need longer cables to accomodate?

Did you happen to weigh the stuff you took off the front with stuff you put back on? I keep thinking I could lose about 5 pounds up front with that X2 and vapor but I've never weighed it so I may be blowing smoke.

Couple that with 5 pounds lost on the rear with a lightweight battery and another 3-4 with the aftermarket silencer and another couple by losing the ugly tail section and we have the KLX much closer to it's fighting weight.

Yeah but..... Add the additional weight of the skid plate, hand guards, bar risers, heavy duty inner tubes and your right back around the original weight once again.....

Agreed^

If I was going to put the Kawi on a diet and strip down everything I would get rid of the skid plate, heavy duty tubes, headlight, tail light, speedometer, and whatever else was not necessary to maintain running condition. Doing mods for weight loss heeds negligible benefits. Functionality outweights any HP gain you might get by losing a few pounds.

Best weight loss mod you can do is to lose some weight yourself jkjk

....and then get some stiffer springs in the front and back.

Is it much to setting up the speedo?
I've been thinking about getting the vapor because i swap rims(i have dirt wheels & supermoto wheels). Would be awesome if i could save the setting and just switch between them on the computer.

mikey - switching wheel size on the vapor is a VERY simple deal. You enter a number that correlates to the circumference of the tire. Vapor would be a great application for this situation.
