so basically, kiss each others ***** is what you're saying. nah, I don't do that. honesty is the only way to go. people aren't dogs, they need to hear the truth and to not be manipulated to think one thing while they're thought of in another way. your advice just puts off the inevitable, but hopefully it has helped and worked out for you.

Eric- everything was cool until my opinions got the best of our cool cucumber brian, and he exploded calling me a liar and accused me of making things up. then he went away w/his tail between his legs. i guess he thinks that JS is the GOAT, and not RC. well, I guess if you are talking about making excuses for not finishing races or seasons, JS would be the GOAT in that area.

 

nah, haven't changed anything. my argument is that, however violently fast JS is, he is not consistent and cannot finish strong. he is fast, perhaps the fastest rider ever, especially when he has to catch up because of a crash. but, as I have said numerous times, speed does not win championships, consistency and smoothness does. the great riders that I previously mentioned all had these two attributes. look at history, they all rode relaxed and got the job done. except for maybe Mc, who generally checked out after the first lap and no one had a chance up until 2000 or so when RC started beating him.

speed doesn't win championsips, smoothness does. how is this a distractor? they're true. look at JS now, he's out because of speed basically. he put his foot down going into a corner too fast and now he's sitting watching another championsip go by. in my book, that stands on its own because it's true.

my list of riders is my opinion. and I would think I can speak for a lot of motorcycle enthusiasts when I say JS is in no way in the same league as these past riders. now, if he can win 4 or 5 SX titles, and 6 or 7 outdoor AMA national championships, then he most definitely would be in that list. but until he can remain injury free or free from season ending injury, he will never have that chance. and the thing about MX/SX is that there is always someone sneaking up on you in ability and his time is running out to become this great champion.

look, I have no beef with JS, but I gotta call a whiner a whiner. and this is what JS is sometimes. have you ever listened to his post-race/pre-race interviews? there seems to be a lot of excuses for his predicament. I actually cheered for JS his first year of SX because I couldn't stand that RC dethroned Mc in SX. I thought that would never happen. And I'm also a Jeff Emig fan and hated when Mc would always make him finish 2nd. But these guys eventually earn my respect, especially RC having to make himself faster to beat JS. maybe someday I will respect JS to actually root for him, but until he is proven to be a piece of iron like the rest of my riders in my list, it's hard to get amped up about him because he unwittingly wrecks all the time. and since he is going the speed of light, he usually gets hurt bad enough to warrant a dnf.

i hope my arguments have spoken to you in a more strategic way this time. a good debater always knows his arguments, and unless you're a beginner, you know there's always several ways to go with it.
