Default fender mod completed

Fender mod completed. Maier KLX300r, LED tail light and flexible mount turnsignals. Part of rear subframe cut-off. Mount is solid. 2 holes lined up just fine with existing mounts. 2 holes not used and a third drilled in top and fastens to rear subframe. Very firm. Sidepanels in construction phase.

I'm new to this forum and the picture posting deal is going to take a little time, I have been pouring over all the terrific forum topics and have used them to complete the modifications on my 2006. Currently undergoing complete cosmetic overhaul. Seat foam replaced with SDG narrow seat foam for KX250F, a lot firmer and much more to my liking. 17" wheels are being laced up on a set of stock hubs and a 320mm rotor will be used per the great write-up featured on this forum. here is another shot.

Graphics are a cut and fit project using N-style kit$$$ for KX250F.Time consuming, but worth the effort once done. Krylon Fusion paint for plastics seems to work well if you take your time on preparing the surface.

Looks sweet, who makes the tail light and turn signal setup that you chose it looks real sharp with the maier tail plastic.

found it on E-bay, it is intended for a DRZ but fits the Maier fender very snuggly. This guy also sells the turn signals and led flasher kit to make the blink at normal rate, also picked up some shorty levers. Stainless steel construction and high quality and come with all wiring plugs to make it fit stock harness.

yep, it's the original edge for the DRZ. I had one on my DRZSM. I got mine for around $40 somewhere online, maybe DRC engineering? Not sure. Very nice piece though.
