Faster blinking turn signals?
So I had enough with the big frying pan turn signals....bought some Baja Designs signals because they are the cheapest DOT approved ones I found that look decent. Put the rear ones on and tested them. Worked perfectly. Put the front ones on and when I tested them the signals blink twice as fast now. Anyone else experience this or maybe can explain why this is? I can't imagine its hurting anything. Just seems weird, doesn't do it when I put just the rear ones on ((rear Baja and stock fronts) all signals blink normally), but it does when I put the front ones on ((all Baja signals) all signals blink fast). All I know are in turn signals are wires and bulbs. All the controlling is done on the bike, right?

Either you put on LED blinkers, or the bulbs are lower resistance than stock. The stock blinker relay runs off resistance to regulate the blink rate. I put on LED front and it made the faster blink rate, both front and rear made them stop blinking altogether. You can install an aftermarket LED blinker relay to take care of this. Would have to do a search for it online, not sure where you would get them in the states.

If they are not LED's but low wattage bulbs, a "non" load dependent flasher unit will work fine.
I think I paid $7 at my local auto parts store.
That's what I used when I swapped my indicators to smaller units.
It says non load dependant but that is not strictly true.
The one I bought needs some load to make it flash.
It doesn't work with LED's.
But with the 2 10 watt bulbs I use, it works fine.
